About W.A.G.

Where we start isn’t where we end. God said he knew our beginning before our end. At the beginning of the day as always I begin with prayer. Now my journey begins, out the door to a parked car, driving to public transportation, park my car, get on public transportation and walk to my destination.

That is what life consists of, driving towards our goals with a whole lot of praying while walking in faith. On our journey it sometimes seems like we are in park, idling but not moving, trying to figure out our correct destinations, but the true fact is only God knows.

He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11

Whataboutgirlz (WAG) was founded in 2013. There are so many reasons why I started on this journey of helping and assisting teen girls and mothers. I grew up with both parents in the household. They instilled good stable morals and values in my siblings and I. It was not always easy but we made it and did it as a family. I am a single parent raising my kids and I also try to instill the same morals and values in my kids that my parents instilled in me.

As I watch my daughters, family members, girls in general grow into teenagers and develop into young adults my heart goes out to them. It’s so hard for teens these days. Society is so different and hard from when I was growing up. It seems like No one cares anymore.  I mentor to girls, talk to them and listen to them. Most girls feel as though no one listens to them or understands them. They feel alone, not wanted or unappreciated.

Whataboutgirlz helps to instill morals, values and self-esteem to learn how to love yourself in spite of what is happening in your life or around you. It inspires, motivates and uplifts girls.  WAG also allows girls to love & embrace their inner & outer self. It guides us to become that Virtuous Woman that God wants every woman to be.

Whataboutgirlz has a special place for mothers to bond, help understand their daughters and move to a closer, meaningful relationship.

Whataboutgirlz is a place where you can talk about your issues and get answers. You will also be able to meet other girls and mothers who are going through what you are going through.

I believe Whataboutgirlz is the beginning of a long lasting journey and relationship, where we will learn to grow, laugh and cry together. God says “I know the plans I have for you”. Let’s walk together to find our purpose, our goals and our reason for life. So let us buckle up and enjoy this journey we call life together!
